Chika Hanyu

Chef Chika Hanyu, originally from Tokyo, Japan, moved to Las Vegas at 18 to pursue her dreams. After attending UNLV and discovering a passion for pastry making, she graduated in 2006 with a major in Culinary Arts Management. Chika began her career in Las Vegas before joining the Norwegian Cruise Line, where she quickly rose to Assistant Chief Pastry. She helped manage pastry production for ~6,000 guests and crew, gaining invaluable experience.

After her contract, Chika pursued her dream of learning about French pastries by working in local shops in France, where she also discovered her love for chocolate bonbons. This passion led her to Mariebelle in New York, where she became Executive Chef, handling production and menu development for seven years. Chika enjoys cooking and baking for her family and friends, aiming to spread joy through her handcrafted chocolates and pastries.
